We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected as a finalist for the Good Food award this year for our coffee sourced from Finca Santa Isabel. The farm is located in the San Diego municipality of the Cesar Department, and is owned by Luis Alfonso Padilla Rios and his wife Maria Jhoannaa Paez Rodriguez, who live there with their three children in the town of Media Luna. This 30-hectare farm grows not only coffee, but also plantains and lulo fruits, and its elevation ranges from 1900 to 2000 meters above sea level. The Caturra variety of coffee is fermented in cherry for 36 hours and then left to dry on raised beds for 20 days, which gives it a fruity flavor with notes of strawberry and passionfruit, along with a rich, chocolatey body. We are proud to be able to represent Luis, Jhoannaa, and Finca Santa Isabel on this national stage. Enjoy!
